Mountain Spa (Switzerland), architecture competition

Val Lumnezia is one of the most attractive ski resorts in Switzerland, where a call for tenders was launched to design a mountain spa. The idea was to create a retreat where tired skiers or hikers could go for a hot bath or sauna. In addition to the spa, the panoramic view of the surrounding mountains offers an unrivalled experience for visitors who can enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Swiss Alps alongside the spa.

At the heart of the concept is the outdoor hot water pool, to which all the other features are linked. The tilted green roof of the elliptically shaped building wraps around the pool, not only providing a better view from the centre and the indoor café, but also blending perfectly with the mountain environment.
